Slow Circles is our third album. The cassette was self released in 2011 and, after finding a box of tapes in storage is available again!!! Get the tapes through the FDH Records bandcamp, digital stuff is here.

Slow Circles is a little different than the first two Beardo servings. At this point we were playing regularly around Philly and occasionally in NY. We befriended sax wizard David Lackner (Galtta Tapes) and started making music together in various iterations.

This recording entered the cosmos during a show at the Rotunda in West Philly, unfortunately I can’t remember the other bands from that night or who organized it. Jeff, JD, Eric, and David played the show that night and recorded the set on a a Tascam portable audio recorder, e.g. nothing fancy. The set that we played was improvised around one or two ideas. To fill out the b-side we did something new for Beardo and the 4 of us each recorded a -7 minute solo composition.

Side A: Slow Circles: Recorded live at the Rotunda in Philadelphia (JB, DL, JD, EH). There were guitars, synths, theremin, field recordings, noisy makers, EVI, Saxaphone, radio)

Side B: Pink Sky (JD - modified keyboard & guitar)
Underwater World (EH - fish engine, an array of pedals and gadgets)
Eighteen, A Semiperfect Number (DL - synths, talking robot friend, EVI, drum machine)
Above A Cold Lake (JB - guitar, synths, some others)
